Tuition for the 2017-2018 academic year is $7,000 with a $300 nonrefundable supply fee which also reserves your student’s spot. Current families who don’t pay the enrollment fee in June will not have a guaranteed spot next school year.

Tuition is payable in 10 monthly installments, from September 2014 through June 2015. Families who pay tuition on or before the first of the month will receive a $50 discount. Tuition paid after the 7th of the month will incur a $35 late fee.

**Please note your student’s tuition is not a charged by the month, but charged by the year. Therefore, you are making monthly payments – the number of school days in the month will not affect your monthly payment. Months with three weeks of school will not incur discounts in the same way that month with five weeks of school will not incur additional fees.

Tuition Discounts

All full time K - 12 families can be eligible for a $50 discount on their monthly payments - this discount is automatically applied if you pay your tuition on or before the 1st of the month. We also offer sibling discounts on a ladder system - the first sibling receives a discount of $1,000 per year ($100 per month), the second sibling receives a discount of $2,000 per year ($200 per month), and so on. Scholarship families should see below to determine if they are eligible for the sibling discount.

Open Doors Program

Eugene Sudbury’s Open Doors Program is our community funded scholarship program for K-12 students interested in obtaining a democratic education at the lowest possible cost. This program provides the first four months of the year (the first semester for high school students) at no tuition, and the remaining five months of the year at full scholarship tuition ($250 per month after on-time payment discount).  This unparalleled opportunity requires participants to commit to paying five months of full scholarship tuition even if they choose not to continue the year.

This scholarship is made possible in part by a generous grant from Oregon Community Foundation is available only to students who have not been enrolled during the current school year.

Additional Discounts

Families who qualify for scholarships have the option of volunteering in exchange for deeper tuition discounts. Each hour volunteered will result in a $20 decrease in tuition, up to 10 hours/$200 per student, per month. Tuition will be calculated each month based on the number of service hours (0 to 10) performed in the previous month. Anything over 10 accumulated hours will be banked for future months. This way hours may be also be performed ahead of time and “saved up” for later. Families who participate in the volunteer program are not eligible for the sibling discount.
